Mixing Seasons, Colors and Patterns Outfit

 

This is my experiment of mixing seasons (shorts & jacket), mixing colors (blue, green, white, black, brown &  gold) and mixing patterns (flowers and animal prints). I am very happy with the result. But when I went into my kid's classroom to pick him up (without hat and bag), I was still very self conscious and wondering if my shorts were too short . One parent complimented on my shoes.

In the afternoon: picking up the kid from school, taking him to Lego Robotic and then soccer practice. I changed shoes to more comfortable platform sandals and add a belt and hat:

Jessica Simpson Bendie Platform Sandals

The platform shoes are petites' best friends. These Jessica Simpson Bendie Platform Sandals are very comfortable and stable. This pair's rich colors are great for the fall. There are many other colors available. I may order another pair.

Short Sleeve Trench Coat

My aunt in Shanghai bought me this short sleeve trench coat many years ago. It's a great piece for summer into fall transit season.

Sunday Outfit

When I dropped off my son at the Saturday birthday party, I went to a Dillards nearby. I bought this Antonio Melani "Zariah" lace trim silk blouse and Gianni Bini "Traci" t-strap platform sandals. I received several compliments for the blouse. This platform sandal has 4.5" heel and it's very comfortable.

Saturday Outfit

Saturday my 9-year-old son had a soccer game in the morning and a birthday party at the noon. This picture was take outside the birthday party Southern Adventure park.

I first saw this rain boots on a sky mall magazine in the air. I loved it and bought it immediately.
Now you can buy it at Amazon.

This rain boot is very eye-catching. I received compliments every time I wore it. I usually wear it with simple outfit.

Tone Down the Dress

This outfit is inspired by Instyle Magazine how to wear denim shirt. The idea is using the denim to tune down a dress to make it work appropriate. The model looks so perfect that I don't want to put her picture next to mine.

Summer Into Fall

 

Add a red cardigan and red shoes to this summer sundress. I am ready for the fall. This sun dress has been worn here with a blue short sleeve cardigan.

Orange Beach, Alabama

We spent the Labor Day weekend at Orange Beach. The gulf shore area received 20 inch rain. It's raining and strong wind most of the time. This picture was taken indoor, in front of our condo mural.
