Focus on Rain Boot

It's been raining all day. I couldn't find a private place to take outfit photos. Finally I took these in the bathroom of Lexus dealership. I was waiting for my auto tire to be replaced. On my hand was the book I was reading "The Helper". My head was cut off because the restroom was small. I always receive a lot of compliments when I wear this pair of rain boot.

Argentina Leather Jacket

we visited Argentina in 2007. Buenos Aires is my favorite city. A leather jacket can be custom made for less than $200. My husband and two sons had no interest in shopping so I had to buy stuffs very quickly. I bought this leather jacket off the shelf. It's not as short as I like it to be.

 

This jacket is long at the front and short at the back. To make the jacket look short, I wore a very long shirt inside.

Green Leather Boot

I love this dark green color. It's flat boot. Is it Steve Madden? (I will check the brand later). I bought it last year via Victoria Secret. I wanted it to be my walking boot but it hurt my pinky after a few hours.

Rich Colors

I wore a colorful knit over a long dress and then added a jacket.

Plaid on Plaid

This is my Tuesday work outfit.

This is my first time to put plaid on plaid pattern.  I usually just mix solid color with plaid. That solid color would be a color in the plaid pattern or a neutral color. Very safe and color coordinated.

I also found that my work outfit were more interesting than my vacation outfit. I walked a lot during 7 days in New York.  It's impossible to wear heels in New York.

Sunday at Hershey Chocolate World

Simon wanted to visit Hershey Chocolate World. There we went. Simon is a blogger. We wanted to gave him more material to write so we bought all the tickets and activities Hershey offered:

It's very interesting and educating. I am a chocolate lover. By the end of that day, I just sampled enough chocolate.

Saturday in Pennsylvania

We left New York Saturday morning.  We drove directly to University of Pennsylvania. The college tour is mainly for my high school senior son Kevin. We all love U Penn. If  let me choose, U Penn will be my first choice but Kevin has his own ideas.
After the famous Philly Steak lunch, we went to Lancaster for a tour of the Pennsylvania Amish countryside. We didn't take picture of Amish people. Taking their picture is kind of rude to me.

New York Day 5

We asked our kids what they want to do for the last day in NY. They wanted to go back to the Central Park again. I suggested the Natural History Museum to them but none of them likes museum.

My 17-year-old son Kevin is a runner. He is his school cross country team captain. He always runs while we travel. He ran in China, Brazil, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Costa Rica, Argentina ...   He ran again in the Central Park. The other three of us rode the boat in the Central Park.

New York Day 5

We visited the Empire State Building and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Watched Broadway show "Lion King" at night. Today we didn't  went back to our apartment to change our outfit. This is my day to night outfit.

 

New York Day 4

Today my husband and two sons went to Central Park again. Kevin ran the 6 miles, my husband and Simon biked again for 6 miles.
I went to shopping. I had a big hope for New York Shopping and brought a big suit case but I was very disappointed. Maybe I was too tired. Anyway I didn't buy anything in New York.
Tonight we went to Metropolitan Opera House in Lincoln Center and watched opera " Nabucco". I love the Song of the Hebrew Slaves Chorus "Va, Pensiero".

New York Day 3 Outfit

My 17-year-old son Kevin visited Columbia University and New York University. While he was touring the NYU, my 9-year-old son Simon played chess at the nearby Washington Square Park chess corner. We payed $2 for each game. He played 7 games and won 1 game. This is where "Searching for Bobby Fisher" was filmed.
